I have lived and worked in the Houston area all of my life. I work at the Johnson Space
Center and have for about 22 years. I have two beautiful daughters, and two grandchildren
whom I love so much, it almost hurts. I am also in love with this dance called West Coast
Swing, so I will talk about it and have links related to it all over my website. You should
really give it a try, it's very addictive. I saw it done in mid 2007, and have been taking
lessons ever since. If only I'd discovered it when I was a few years younger. I love the
music that goes along with the dance.
I guess you might label me as a geek, although I much prefer the term electronics wizard. I
always have my nose in a computer or electronic device of some kind, being creative in some
sense. Whether it be audio, video, photographic, or computer related. I love anything
relating to electronics. Therefore, moving into the DeeJay realm wasn't really a stretch. I
listen to music constantly, so why not play it for others. So, that's what I'm doing.
Currently I am a member of the National Association of Rythym and Blues DeeJays, All
Swing Dj's, and I play socially for my dance club. I'm always searching for new music, so if
you hear something that you think I might like, send it to me.
I will DJ for dance events, weddings, and private parties. I have tons of music, my
specialty being the type of music that you can dance West Coast Swing to. That is a HUGE
variety as long as it's between 88 and 124 bpm and has 4/4 time. My genre's include
Classic Rock, R&B, Blues, C&W, Pop, Top 40, Oldies, NC2, Latin, and Big Band. I'm also
working on getting some karaoke going.
My best friend and sister (Linda) and I travel to at least 6 competition dance events a
year. I love watching the pro's dance. It inspires me. If you see us at an event, please ask
us to dance. I look forward to one day DJ'ing at some of these competitions.
